Dear Fellow Traveller,
India holds a secret that most of the world has yet to fully discover. While Africa is celebrated for its big cats, India quietly harbours not one, not two, but four of the five Panthera species, including the tiger, the leopard, the Asiatic lion, and the elusive snow leopard. And beyond these giants, she shelters an astounding fifteen species of wild cats in total. No other country on earth comes close.
This is the country we have made our life's work. And this August, we want to share it with you properly.
Our Big Cats of India expedition is built around this very idea: that you can stand in the dry deciduous forests of Gir with a lion at dawn, move through the granite hills of Jawai watching leopards rest on ancient boulders, track the majestic Bengal tiger through Kanha, Bandhavgarh, and Pench, and then, if the call of the high mountains stirs you, extend into Ladakh or Spiti in search of the snow leopard. See all four Panthera species on one extraordinary journey.

While tigers and lions command the spotlight, India's jungles, grasslands, and high-altitude plateaus harbour eleven more wild cat species that most travellers never even know to look for. The jungle cat hunts in the tall grass of Kanha. The leopard cat prowls the forests of the Northeast. And in the wind-scoured Changthang plateau of Ladakh, the round-faced, wild-eyed, and utterly captivating Pallas's cat peers from behind boulders at altitudes few travellers ever reach.
